in June is an ensemble of four quite extraordinary vocalists, and a profoundly personal expression by a singular composer and lyricist – some sort of getting to know oneself in four voices. Not only music, but also friendship connects Fama M‘Boup with her band colleagues, whom she repeatedly puts in the foreground while stepping back herself – without which mutual opening up and showing vulnerabilities wouldn't be possible at all.
Liv Sindler, Anna-Lucia Rupp, Moritz Klatt and Johann Gottschling are the people that make this ensemble possible. All coming from a jazz education and pursuing their careers in a very broad spectrum of musical expression.
